Good Grief Zoom Room --focus on Lynn

  • 28 Aug 2025
  • 7:00 PM

Dear friends,

As we continue to process the passing of our dear Lynn Sabourin, we invite you to gather in community for a “Good Grief Zoom Room” on Thursday, August 28th at 7:00pm.

Together, we will share in a Moving Grief Practice. This practice recognizes that grief doesn’t only live in our hearts—it lives in our bodies, too. Gentle, everyday movements such as doodling, folding laundry, chopping vegetables, or knitting can help us “move with grief” and soften its weight. There is comfort in simply being together while tending to small, ordinary tasks. Please bring something to do with your hands as we gather.

We will close our time by singing “Sing You Home” together — a song that helps us honour Lynn’s life and carry her spirit with us. Lyrics will be provided so all can join in.

Topic: Good Grief Zoom Room --focus on Lynn.
Time: Thursday, August 28 at 7-9pm
reach out to Lindsay for the Zoom link.

Sing You Home

Too soon to leave this earth
How could all your work be done
Ash to ash and dust to dust
Seemed to me you just begun

When grief invades my soul
There's comfort in a prayer, I find
Though these candles honor you
They burn for those you left behind

Chorus:
I'll sing for you because I need to
Right now this is all I know
You always said you wanted me to
So I will sing you home
I will sing you home

Know that you will live
On the lips of those who knew
What it was you had to give
And what it was they learned from you

This is my prayer for you
And maybe someday I will know
If it helped your journey home
Or if it helped me let you go

Chorus

We're born unto this earth
Generations one by one
Ash to ash and dust to dust
There is nothing left undone

Chorus (x2)

All are welcome. May this be a nourishing space for comfort, connection, and remembrance.
